How we make money
Version 2026-09-1
Aura sells nothing. There is no cart, no checkout and no inventory. When the Shelf suggests a product, the link leaves for a retailer — today Amazon.in and Nykaa — and if you buy there, some of those links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.
What that does not buy
- No paid placement. No brand can pay to appear on your shelf, or to rank higher on it.
- Commission is not an input. The ranking is computed from your weakest markers and the product’s stated targets. The code that orders the shelf does not know what anything pays.
- No exclusivity. Where a cheaper product does the same job, it is listed on the same terms.
Where you will see it said
Every outbound link carries the disclosure in the same place as the link, not in a footer you would have to go looking for. We are an Amazon Associate; as an Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. TO CONFIRM: Confirm the Amazon Associates tag and that the account is approved for the Indian store.
What we would tell you if it changed
If Aura ever takes money in a way that could influence what it recommends — sponsored placement, a brand partnership, a paid tier that changes the shelf — it will be stated here and flagged in the app before it takes effect, not after.
